Salt Lake City
Its been a busy few weeks here. I just had a brief trip to visit family in Ohio and now I am preparing for my trip to Salt Lake City for the Rootstech / FGS Conference. I am super excited about this conference; not for all they are offering, but for where it is.
I have never been to Salt Lake City and for a genealogist this is the must visit place.
I have gone through my tree and tried to decide who I should research while I am there. Well, not who exactly. More like what family. But, it seems I keep moving towards my two German families. But, I cannot read German. So, should I still try and work on these families. I do have a friend that I am traveling with that told me she could read German, I told her that I am sure she does not want to read an entire roll of film for me. Though it would be greatly appreciated.
So, what do I do? I have no real clue at this point. I am leaning towards working on the darn Irish families I have. That should take up the two days I have available to research. Plus, I can read the Irish records and that is a big plus.
I am not sure if I will get to post next week; if not I will be back when I get home from the conference. If you happen to be going to Rootstech / FGS, please come and visit me in the vendor hall at The In-Depth Genealogist booth.
