Rootstech Keynote Speakers
Over the past month there have been many press releases from RootsTech about who their keynote speakers would be. I absolutely love this time because this is the time I decided if I am really going to go to the conference.
A few years back they had First Lady Laura Bush and daughter Jenna Bush Hagar as well as Donny Osmond. I do not think they will ever top that. Well, maybe if they pulled in an Obama family member….
This year the keynotes are:
Wednesday, Feb. 8: Liz Wiseman
Thursday, Feb. 9: The Scott Brothers
Friday, Feb. 10: LeVar Burton
Saturday, Feb. 11: Buddy Valestro
So to me it won’t pass up my favorite year, but these are some great keynote speakers.
Lets take a look at each of them.
Liz Wiseman
As the keynote for the Innovator Summit, Liz is no stranger to the tech side of life. Her recent clients include Disney, Paypal, Google and Facebook.
She is also the author of best-selling books: Rookie Smarts: Why Learning Beats Knowing in the New Game of Work; Multipliers: How the Best Leaders Make Everyone Smarter; and The Multiplier Effect: Tapping the Genius Inside Our Schools.

The Scott Brothers
Known for their HGTC show The Property Brothers, they are identical twins and are known to wear a kilt…
The Scott brothers have HGTV’s highest ratings, their first series, the Property Brothers, spun off several other series including Brother vs Brother, Buying and Selling, Property Brothers at Home, and Property Brothers at home on the Ranch. They recently authored their first book, Dream Home.

LeVar Burton
Known for his role as Kunta Kinte in the 1977 television series, Roots. He also played Geordi La Forge in the television series, Star Trek: The Next Generation. He was also the host and executive producer of the children’s series, Reading Rainbow.
He plans to share stories about all the above shows, and some personal stories about his mother.

Buddy Valestro
AKA The Cake Boss! Buddy has been on TLC the past few years with his tv shows, The Cake Boss and The Next Great Baker and Buddy’s Bakery Rescue. If you have watched any of these shows, you know that family is important to Buddy.
He plans to share how his past, present and future shaped who he is.
