I’m Going to Rootstech, Baby!
I’m going to Rootstech, baby! The In-Depth Genealogist decided it was time to throw our proverbial hats into the ring. Every day we use the lovely gift of technology to work. Our leadership team is made up of three people, in three different states: Colorado, Illinois and Ohio. It is not always the easiest thing to do, but we are able to use technology to have business meetings and make plans for our future.
After the great reception the IDG team had at NGS in Las Vegas with our Unconferencing Sessions, we decided that it was time to move forward and start speaking at the conferences. The one that had top billing on our list was RootsTech!
Imagine my surprise when at 12:45 am CST, I was reading my email (from my phone) and I happily read our email from the RootsTech selection committee advising us that we had been accepted. It was to late to call anyone. Not even my Colorado partner. I ended having a nice text session with my DH, he was at work, and more than happy to share in our good news.
This morning I awoke to a lovely email from Colorado tellimg me to call as soon as I was awake. I called and we both giggled with our excitement.
