What a fun episode to watch! I’ve not watched the Hillary Duff episode of WDYTYA, yet. But I too have a direct line to Lt Gov Spottiswood, on my mother’s paternal line. I also have a connection to them on her direct maternal line, which came to Beaufort NC (John Shackelford) in the early 1700s from King & Queen VA. This is where Blackbeard sank the Queen Ann’s Revenge! According to what I have found, John Shackelford’s 1st wife was Mary Livingston (maternal brickwall), granddaughter of the immigrant John Livingston (K@Q VA). John’s father was Baron of Dunipace, in Scotland and had bankrupted the estate, forcing it to be sold. To Lt Gov Spottiswood’s grandfather!
