Finding Delbert

A few weeks back, I was at a Antique Mall in the Dayton, Ohio area (I blogged about the visit). I was mesmerized by some school report cards, for Delbert D. Heller. The item for sale was a bundle of report cards and a few pictures too.  Though surname has no connection to any of mine, I could not leave them behind.

The report cards start in 1915 and continue through 1926, from Greenville, Ohio Public Schools. Overall, Delbert was a good student, well except for History. It does not seem he was very interested in that subject, at all.

So many questions came to mind about Delbert…

  1. Who is he?
  2. What did he do in life?
  3. What became of him?
  4. Why are his report cards in the antique mall?

I figured with some research I would be able to answer some of the questions. But, I might never find out how and why the records were in the antique mall. Once I finish researching Delbert, I just might take a peek into the lives of his various teachers. Stay tuned for more on his life and maybe his teachers.
